televised debate recently? OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW! WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW? BECAUSE OUR MEDIA WON'T TELL US! Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades. Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes: It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support; and it is intended to discourage American citizens.

A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country.

Well, there's a very simple answer.

Nobody bothered to check the oil.

We just didn't know we were getting low.
~~~
The reason for that is purely geographical.

So John McCain says we can win the war by 2013. My thought on this is that if we keep spending the amount of money we are spending on Iraq and Afghanistan, we might win the war and destroy our country at the same time. Our military is fighting at max. We keep extending the tours of duty, and our troops can't sustain this effort for another five years. Our economy is in the tank, and five more years will destroy us. Thankfully, the majority of Americans are sick and tired of the way things are going, and will vote for CHANGE. We are at a point that CHANGE is our only hope for recovery. We have been led by an IDIOT for almost eight years now, and the American people will not vote for another one. Tux

Good Morning. Please read the following. We are in for seriously increased taxes, due to several "solutions" coming down from the State, the County and our Cities. The County wants half a cent for roads, our cities want a half a cent for cops, Arnie wants one whole cent for his profligate spending, and they will still sell off the proceeds of the lottery. Modesto is continuing to increase your water, sewer and garbage fees, every 6 months. Modesto is cutting on cops and firemen. Modesto is cutting on tree maintenance, meaning YOU have to maintain the city's trees and mistletoe. Modesto is simply NOT going to fix the roads, and not going to synchronize the lights. But, the County IS going to build an expressway to the Kamilos project at Crows Landing, like it or not. Please understand that every government you suffer under is going to invade your wallet to satisfy the need to spend more money. Even when you are trying to conserve, travel less, purchase more wisely, all the governments are looking at more devious ways to rip your hard earned income away from you and your family. California is already the most expensive state to live in, and it is going to get worse. The only hope you have is to vote "NO" on the new road tax, any other increases in sales taxes and find fiscally savvy and ethical neighbors to run for elected office. Otherwise, you will not be able to afford Modesto or even Stanislaus County. Dave

Good News! ... friends,
Finally, 18+ million Southern Californians will 'indirectly' get 'legal
PROTEST' to overcome the 'private/quasi-government' water treatment
utilities organization called "MET" [e.g. Southern California
Metropolitan Water Association] wherein in Oct. 2007 forced 'MOST'
cities with water treatment utilities within Greater Los Angeles and
down through Greater San Diego to add SILICOFLUORIDE, an EPA 'regulated
pollutant' also classified as a 'Class 1 Hazardous Waste', as sourced
from the phosphate ore mining & processing industry, into their
drinking/tap waters as a source of illicit 'fluoride'.
ALL this absurd, 'illicit' drinking/tap water treatment program without
a Public Ballot Vote, and only a couple of barely announced, biased
controlled Public Hearings will now be legally addressed in Federal
Court(s).

during a 2007 MET Hearing that an estimated 64,000+ infants & small
children will be put at extreme RISK if the MET proceeded to add
SILICOFLUORIDE at ALL those Water Treatment Utilities throughout
