If the immigrant is over 65 they can apply for SSI and Medicaid and get more than my mom gets for Social Security and she worked from 1940 till 2000, she only gets $791 per month because she was born in 1922 and there is a "catch 22". It is interesting that the federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1, 890.00 and each can also get an additional $580.00 in social assistance for a total of $2,470.00.
This compares very well to a single pensioner who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50 years can only receive a monthly maximum of $1, 012.00 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement. Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!
Lets send this to all Americans, so we can all be ticked off and maybe we can get the refugees cut back to $1, 012.00 and the pensioners up to $2,470.00 and enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the Government over the last 40 or 50 years.
Please forward to every American to expose what our elected politicians have been doing over the past 11 years - to the over-taxed American.

After many good years of real estate sales, and real estate appreciation, the last year has seen real pain for the entire sector. A report issued today in the Daily Real Estate News lists Modesto as number 6 most depreciating metropolitan areas (Year over Year.) Couple this with the prediction that the peak in forclosures will not be for another 18 months, and we really could be in for trouble. There will be enormous pressure for housing prices to plunge even more. This could even cause some additional bankruptcies from people who would not be able to refinance. It could become a vicious cycle. Why do certain developers want to build even more homes at times such as these? I am sure they have their reasons, but it just does not make sense to me. Stay tuned in to the Stanislaus Free Press for further updates, as more facts become known. Administrator

August 8, 2007 The Sabatino Report The Board of Supervisors voted for Salida Now in such haste that they found it unnecessary to have it go through the Planning Commission. There just was not enough time to go through the process. After all, they did not want to take the chance that SOS INITIATIVE would pass in February and thus make the Salida Now project illegal. Supervisor Jeff Grover said the vote, “keeps the County and the Board of Supervisors in complete control. It doesn’t leave it up to the ballot box.” Does that mean that the people are not smart enough to vote? Who was smart enough to vote for Jeff Grover? We have to talk! When he screams and hollers, Then tax him some more, Tax him till He's good and sore. Then tax his coffin , Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid. Put these words upon his tomb, Taxes drove me to my doom..." When he's gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply The inheritance tax. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What the heck happened? ?Can you spell "politicians!" And I still have to "press 1" for English. I hope this goes around THE USA at least 100 times

I am sitting here at my computer thinking about the cost to the public that is caused by our bad leaders. I think George Bush is going to destroy the Republican Party for at least a generation. The Democratic replacements that are in the running all seem to be equally able to cause our country great harm. I really do not see anything positive that will happen if any of them get elected. Bush has caused a debt that our grandchildren will probably have to pay on, and the debt keeps on growing. Then I think about our elected officials in Stanislaus County, and Modesto. The waste of tax dollars locally is simply beyond belief. Huge $MILLION Dollar settlements with Modesto City Employees that have been abused. Huge fines from the State of California for polluting Dry Creek. The Give Away of huge sums of tax dollars to fund the PRIVATE Gallo Center For The Performing Arts. Huge settlements with Stanislaus County Employees. The local officials that are controlled by big money contributions from the building industry. The huge increases in our water rates, and planned huge increases in our sewer and storm drain rates. The City of Modesto appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court on the 2002 California Voting Rights Act that will push the total spent to way over $1000,000,00. All of this to prevent District Elections that will break up the good old boys club. It is not surprising that they keep raising our rates on everything they can. They are out of control.
The people who are running the City and County seem to have very little respect for the expressed wishes of the general public. Please people, open up your eyes, and do something about what is happening. Modesto is rapidly becoming an area that is too expensive to live in. We see our elected officials giving the go ahead to thousands of new homes, at the same time that thousands of families lose their homes to bankruptcy. It just doesn't make sense, and should not be happening at all. Be careful about who you vote for. It just may hit you in the pocket book. Administrator
