In every city and in every county...the politicians are always dirty...there are NO exceptions This is a fact that I have come to understand in my 30 years of working with local gevernments. What I find discouraging is that in general the citizens of Modesto are not sophisticated enough to go after these elected (and non-elected staff) scumbags who have IQ's that hover around 85 (but they honestly believe they are extremly intelligent and special thats why they run for local office) Modesto City Council are all idiots and the Supervisors are hillbilly good ol' boys who probably have nice white hoods they take out for special occasions... It can be rather easy to catch them...once you get the nack of it..but it takes time and energy...being retired helps of course..and it does take some time to get up to speed on how to do legal research on websites like www.leginfo.ca.gov and by browsing the City and County ordinances and City Charters.. read their documents...all their staff reports on a particular issue being voted upon...you will be amazed to find that they write down in official looking papers..their corrupt activities are almost always "hidden" in documents or peppered with official sounding language. Its usually a giant turd with perfume, or a pig with lipstick.. dont be confused by the pretty smell or those sexy lips... its still shit.. and thats still a pig... The task can be rather dreary.. going through thousands of documents at times...btu after awhile you can get it figured out...jsut dive in and start reading everything on whatever particular subject..ie develpment scams, redevelopment scams, Art Center Scams..etc etc etc.. Use the California Public Records Act !!!! I cant say this enough... force them to give you copies of almsot ANYTHING you want including their emails... and if they dont its a violation of law ( see: www.cfac.org ) and sue their ass, and when you win they will pay for your attorney! I have gotten this down to an art form...and then I turn it over to my hungry attorneys... to date we have taken over ten million dollars from Citys and Counties who have violated the law. and you'll have to trust me on that one I cannot divulge who i am or what the cases were...I have to remain under the radar Suing them is THE ONLY way to get ANY change from them..dont bother writing letters..dlon t bother going to Council meetings... its all a waste of time... by the time they get in the chambers.. all the decisions have been made... everything else is for show... So get to reading..get to investigating..it will take some time..I have used the internet and sites like this as a "tip line" which has served me rather well in the past. The free press is one of the best ways to network and gain allies in the fight. Over the years I have used the internet to gather quite a group of lawyers and citizens... I have lawsuits in multiple city's as we speak... get an attorney on your side...start them off pro bono.. and when you start winning... the City most likely will be paying for your attorney through the private attorney general statute. Start a local "association" band together.. call yourselves "Citizens Against Fucheads..." (not really) but come up with a name... get in the press...learn how to use reporters to write your stories for you... its very easy to manipulate the press Make sure you post any insider leaks you come across.. but make damn sure you understand defamation and libel laws...be careful how you word your posts.. use the terms "reportedly" and "allegedly" in front of every specific acusatory statment.. but rember its always ok to call them corrupt..scumbags..crooks... a-holes and other generally derogatory names, it may not be polite or cordial.. but dont ever be nice to these rat bastards... they may smile at you but they want to steal your wallet.. no different than being robbed in an alley.. so dont ever treat them any better than you would a thief... this may sound a bit harsh...I was nice once... but after seeing what these local "officials" are capable of I've learned not to care how I sound. ahhhhhh.... now i feel better getting that off my chest i can go to bed PS Carmen I'm starting to actually like you email me if you read this PPS... you can destroy their power structure through district elections....that has to be a priority..the lawsuit on that issue looks good so far.. we'll see... those lawyers seem to really not be interested in the hispanic voting rights issue.. they just want to rack up lawyer fees.. but i could be wrong... I hope i am...but hey everyone has an agenda..me included Enemy Of The State
