Tux Says: Carmen is absolutely correct when he asserts that the Bee was part of the prosecution team that tried to take him down. Mr. Vasche and a Bee reporter were present when the "storm troopers" marched into City Hall to start the witch hunt. An elaborate and extensive string of articles followed in the Bee, that obliterated any chance of Carmen getting re-elected in the election that was just around the corner. It was a well orchestrated effort at destroying a good man, who was doing a much better job as Mayor than the present Mayor and minions that are controlled by the developers. Look at the way our present leaders are throwing away millions and millions of dollars to try to hide their dirty secrets from becoming public knowledge. If Carmen had paid $3.5 million of public money to hide the truth, the Bee would have been all over his case in a daily and never ending string of articles. But NO, the Bee props up their hand selected bunch of corrupt Modesto City Officials. No matter how corrupt they are they must prop them up, for the Bee recommended their election. And why do you think they were recommended by the Bee? I think it is because a certain Greek rich Modestan wants the corrupt officials right where they are. The Bee fears this man, because he spends oodles of money every year advertising in the Bee, and it is no secret that the parent company of the Bee is in financial trouble, just as all newspapers are. So Dan Day, you can rant and rave all you want about all this CRAP, but this CRAP is true. Get used to it Mr. Day, If it looks like CRAP, smells like CRAP, and draws flies like CRAP, then it must be CRAP. A good start for the Bee would be to frequently run articles that show the people just how corrupt our present elected officials are, and how they are squandering our precious tax dollars. Does the Bee have the guts to antagonize the Greek Mogul? I don't think so. By covering up corruption, is the Bee also corrupt? I think so! Tux
