Finally, the Modesto Bee printed the Dave Thomas letter regarding the extreme lateness of our annual financial report that was due four months ago. It would be very helpful if the Bee would also tell the readers that this report is due no later than 90 days after the close of the fiscal year, and that this is mandated by the City Charter.  We will be anxiously awaiting this report. I am sure there is much to be learned about our city finances.
