KRAUSNICK SPENDS $10,000.00 MORE TO CONTINUE SABATINO PROSECUTION County Counsel Mick Krausnick files 40 page motion in a hopeless effort to establish that former mayor Carmen Sabatino has the ability to pay Stanislaus County for his legal defense. Ray Simon, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, has not commented on Krausnicks actions. A hearing on the matter is set in Superior Court on Thursday, September 21st. Judge Franklin Stephenson who presided over the criminal trial dismissed Sabatinos lawyer, Frank Carson, from the case when the District Attorneys Office dismissed all charges against the former mayor. Krausnick claimed that Sabatino could pay $100.00 a month on the debt. At that rate it would take 42 and one-half years to pay it off. Sabatino said, “I’ll do the best I can”.
