PLEASE FORWARD TO EVERYBODY ON YOUR E-MAIL LIST September 19, 2006 KRAUSNICK FORCES COUNTY EMPLOYEE TO LIE TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS DURING SEPTEMBER 12 HEARING UPDATE TO LETTER BELOW Donna Riley, a supervisor in Revenue Recovery Department of Stanislaus County stated before witnesses that she was ordered to send the Application for waiver to the former mayor by Deputy County Counsel Marc Hartley. That’s not what she told the Board of Supervisors at the September 12th. meeting MORE TOMORROW August 24, 2006 Chairman Ray Simon Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors 1010 Tenth St. Modesto, CA 95353 Supervisor Simon and Supervisors, I recently received a form entitled, APPLICATION FOR WAIVER OR REDUCTION OF PUBLIC DEFENDER COSTS. County Counsel Krausnick mandated the form be sent to me without explanation. His mandated request to ask for a waiver of a debt that has not been established is unethical and usurps a court process that has not been concluded. Krausnick, knows that the Court has two sealed financial statements which the Court used to grant me a public defense. He knows a hearing is to be set on my ability to pay. Krausnick is again interfering with court process and interjects himself at your direction I am more than willing to provide a financial statement for the third time, according to court directive. In addition, the form states that information provided would remain confidential. The Office of Gordon B. Ford, Revenue Recovery, stated that if Krausnick requested confidential court file it would be provided, a violation of government code and court process. It is most frightening that some Supervisors continue to abuse their political and assumed police power to advance their own personal agenda’s by engaging in the politics of personal destruction. Mr. Krausnick and former CEO Reagan Wilson's willingness to violate confidentiality is well documented. Simon’s claim that he knows nothing about what happens in the County is not credible. I requested that this matter be put on the Board of Supervisor’s agenda for the first meeting in September. I was told that this request had to be cleared by the Supervisor of my district. This letter is my request for an agenda item on the functions, actions, and duties of County Counsel. Please confirm that this matter is on the agenda as requested. Thank you in advance for your prompt cooperation.
