The Free Press is a combination of a web site, a blog, and eventually, a real time forum for the exchange of ideas. Think of the Free Press as your newspaper on the INTERNET. Read More
The Free Press will publish fresh and documented information, to include: 1. Government documents which your government and newspaper do not want you to read. 2. Real comments of elected officials that will amaze and inform you. 3. Government contracts, special deals, questionable fees/taxes, and hidden motivations/relationships that influence government decisions. The Free Press blog will be interactive, and allow you to comment on what is published, as well as open new areas of discussion that are important to you. Stanislaus Free Press will be subject to rules which will be rigorously enforced. We will not allow personal attacks, political rambling or nonsense. We will encourage serious discussion of the issues, to include the actions and words of government officials. This blog will encourage your participation in government. We will send this site to the politicians and bureaucrats, and anticipate that they will read what you say with great interest. We believe that the mainstream media cooperates far too much with government, hides improper/illegal behavior, and promotes activities that satisfy the media’s needs, not yours. We welcome your feedback. We will have many surveys on current issues, so you can see what your neighbors think. We hope you send this site to all your friends, so we can serve all of Stanislaus County. Thank you very much, The editors of the Stanislaus Free Press.
