Revelations from Carmen Sabatino regarding Janice Keating, Modesto City Councilwoman, running for County Supervisor
WELCOME TO THE SABATINO REPORT September 21, 2006 KEATING FOLLOWS ORDERS AND FIRES JACK CRIST At the time of the Jack Crist firing Janice Keating was quoted as saying she "struggled long and hard over this". (The decision to fire Crist) This is not the case. The following is from the transcript of Janice Keating’s interview with Deputy District Attorney Brad Nix. NIX. OK: KEATING: How could one person have so much power? How could one person have such fright in these people that they could ignore the majority? And I told Jack Crist that four times. And I said you're gonna get burned NIX Um: KEATING I said, I've got three votes, Jack Crist, and all I need is another one. Keep it up. Keep... keep disregarding us and acting like we're not here and we're not important. Go ahead. I'm not gonna shed a tear when after the city's come down in a shambles around us, which is what it looks like to me. Everything's falling apart. It is obvious that Janice Keating violated the Brown Act when she solicited Mayor Carmen Sabatino's vote to fire Jack Crist., and has revealed that "We did a lot of things Carmen didn't know about”. So much for open and honest government.
