I agree with the Bee that the proposal to raise our sales tax by one cent could be the last straw. It certainly will be the last straw as far as the proposed transportation tax increase is concerned. It will also be the last straw as far as the proposed sales tax increase to support our local Firemen and Police. Our elected officials simply must find ways to get by on the taxes that they already have in place. I do not see the voters voluntarily raising their sales taxes, especially if the State of California uses the sales tax as a way of solving our current fiscal crisis.    Tux
